It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Gordon Thomas White, dearly loved husband and best friend of Ethel Christena White nee Wright on Monday June 19, 2017 at the age of 78 years. He passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home Cobden. Loving father to Sue (Ian Macfarlane), Julie (Mitch Vaudrie), Tracy (Derrick McColeman) and Trevor (Melissa Chaput). Proud papa to Gillian and Tegan Macfarlane, Jordan and Lauren Vaudrie, Nathan and Brianna McColeman, Brody and Jenna White. He will be missed by his sister Lorna (Bob Jackson) and sisters - in- law Isabel (late Willard). Arvilla (Robert Cook), Esther (Edgar White), Helen (Brian McInnes), Keitha (John Sherrard) and brothers - in – law Lindsay Wright (Pauline), Rowan Wright (Pieret Poitras ), Peter Wright, Arthur Wright (Nancy), Robin Wright (Joan). Predeceased by his parents Sybil and Thomas White. Gordon was involved in Municipal Politics for 39 years and was Renfrew County Warden in 1984. Gordon was a dairy farmer all his life, as well as driving a School Bus for 17 years. A graveside service will be held in St. Augustines Anglican Cemetery Beachburg, on Saturday June 24, 2017 at 10am.  All are welcome to attend a luncheon in the Westmeath Community Hall following the graveside service.
