I will miss Phyllis greatly. I am so used to seeing her sitting in her chair at the Horse Races at Quail Creek with my mom (Kay Durnford) beside her. She and mom often played Chinese Checkers or card games. I was so shocked when I found out she had gone to the hospital and then more so when I heard she was gone. Big HUGS to all of her family!!

I am so very sorry for the loss of your beloved mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. Phyllis was the light and heart of Quail Creek. I will miss her kindness, her laugh, her competitive and determined spirit and her gentle soul. She was and is a beautiful woman who touched my life deeply and will be missed so very much. I loved Phyllis and will cherish my memories of her. She was incredibly proud of her boys and shared many stories of her earlier days and of life on the farm. My deepest condolences to you all, and may you find comfort in your memories of Phyllis and know that she lives on in each of your hearts.

I always enjoyed chatting with her when she came into our office, she was always so pleasant and cheerful. Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend any of the visitations due to other appointments. Paul & I were so sorry to hear of Phyllis's passing. She was such a sweet lady - we were often greeted by her either outside or in the front lobby of Quail Creek when we visited Mom, and we always ended up having a good, long chat. Phyllis had a way of making you feel like you made her day when, in fact, it was definitely the other way around. This wonderful lady will be missed.

Sincere condolences on the loss of your Mom. Phyliss was a great lady and had a full life that was lived well to the end. I was always appreciative of the hospitality both she and Ken so generously offered from their home on the Queen's Line as well as during my visits with Phyliss during her time at Quail Creek. I am sorry that I cannot be with you for either the wake or funeral but know that you will all be in my thoughts during this time.
