My sincere sympathy to all of John's family. I was a neighbour on the hill of your grandparents for many years from 1969 and kept in touch with your Dad after he moved back to Cobden to be with your Grandmother. Many enjoyable visits and always a Christmas Greeting either by card and/or a phone call. I missed him after he moved and didn't know where he moved until now at his death. May in Rest In Peace as his time on earth has ended.

Dear Robert, Bryan, Shane, Peter and Family,
We were deeply saddened to hear of John’s passing. He was a very important part of our family and dear friend to Grandma Laura. I have great memories of John at family dinners and will always remember his big hearty laugh. I always respected and appreciated his friendship with Grandma. Whether John and Gram were cross-country skiing or just going for a drive to listen to the frogs, they truly loved spending time together. I will truly miss him. I wish I could be there with you today but please know my thoughts are with you all.

We were deeply saddened to hear of John's passing.....he is in a better place and now over his suffering. Our condolences to all the family. John was such a kind man and so good to Laura - they had many good years as dear friends. We have wonderful memories of times and laughs and stories with John in his lovely home at Cobden and in Arnprior and at our place in Iroquois Falls.

John was a very dear cousin of mine. We kept in touch until recently. I have always lived in Toronto but spent a great deal of my life in the "Valley". I remember his Mother and Father very well.

John was such a joyful fellow. I remember often sitting at the station with his Dad and seeing John there - now there is no train or station

Your dad was a fine gentleman that loved to cross country ski in his younger days and enjoyed Shakespere. He had a hearty laugh and a smiling disposition. We are greatful for his service to our country.
