To the Stevenson Family, my heartfelt sympathy,
Eric was one of the kindest men I know. He trained me in the selection of pulp, taught me about tree bark, made me laugh. I remember him coming to see me at the hospital when my son Jeff was born, carrying a holstein cow outfit. I always marvelled at his Robbie Burns jokes, his love for music, his quiet way of handling customer complaints. Every time I drive the Queen's line I think of him and wondered what he was up to.
I respected Eric, I will miss him very much.
