The family of William Douma sadly announce his passing on September 1, 2023 at the age of 68 years. Bill or “Billy” as he was called, of Cobden, beloved husband of Ruth. Dear father of Maria (Ryan), Gerald (Fallan) and Hermina (Robert). Opa to Aidan, Cassidy and Shelby. Dear brother to Julia O’Ryan (Dave) and late brother to Andy, Rudi (Doris) and sister Gerline . Sadly missed by nieces, nephews, family and friends. Bill and Ruth, formerly of Douma’s Gardens, were locally known for their strawberries and rutabagas which had been in operation for 50 plus years. Bill, a lover of animals, always had a unique variety of creatures to show and educate others. Hobbies were as unique as him, like woodwork to metal work and MacGyvering anything. As per Billy’s wish, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 1-4 pm at the Orange Hall, 1767 Beachburg Road, Beachburg.
