STANLEY EDMUND STOPPA Jr.

It is with sadness, we announce the passing of Stanley Stoppa of Cobden, who passed away peacefully in Hospice Renfrew, on Friday, December 19, 2025 at the age of 91 years. Stanley Stoppa beloved husband of Celestine (Sally) Stoppa nee Burchat. Dear father of Donna Stoppa, Mike (Carrie) Stoppa, Linda  (Randy) Hobbs, James (Fiona) Stoppa. Loving grandpa to Trevor (Syndie) Melissa McKay, Leanne (Ivan) Burton, Christopher Stoppa, Brett Hobbs, Emily (Rory), Alex Stoppa, Reece Brown , Austin Brown and great-grandchildren Ayla, Ryker, Wyatt, Hudson, Charlie and Elliot. Also survived by siblings Leona (late Edward Buraczewski), Joan (late Jack Hilder), Gerard Stoppa (Clare), Robert Stoppa (Gisele) and siblings in law Doreen (late Thomas Burchat), Susie (Lorne) Luckasavitch, Henry (Barbara) Biskup, Lawrence (Barbara) Biskup, Joanne Biskup as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Stanley Sr. and Mary Zilney, brother Raymond, sisters Florence, Anne (Sidney Dearsley), Monica.  Siblings in law Sylvester, Isadore, and Nicholas Burchat, Bernadette (Joe) Lorbetskie,  Anna Mae (Sylvester) Afelskie, Raymond Dombroskie and  good friend Jimmy Huckabone. Friends may call at the Fraser-Morris & Heubner Funeral Home Cobden, Sunday December 21, 2025 from 2-4 and 7-9pm.  and on Monday from 9:30 until 10:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church Cobden Monday at 11am. Spring interment St. Pius V Roman Catholic Cemetery Osceola. As expressions of sympathy donations to Hospice Renfrew would be appreciated.
