Ross McDonald of Cobden passed away peacefully at Pembroke Regional Hospital on Monday, June 26th in his 80th year.
Survived by his wife, Anne (Sheedy) of 52 years, sons Bradford, Scott, David (Sirje), and grandchildren Kirsten, Brendan, William, Jacob, Jamie, Sadie, Liam, and Ellie. He is pre-deceased by sister Doreen Tennant (Ron) and survived by sisters Elsie Larone (Don-deceased), Ellen Pajur (Enn-deceased), and Florence Dick (Allen).
Ross was born on August 23, 1937, to Harold and Bella McDonald in Pembroke, Ontario. He joined Bell Canada at age 18 and retired after 36 years (1955-1994) of service.
He loved the cottage on Allumette Island, Ottawa River and spent much of his time at the place he built with his own hands.
Friends and family can meet for a Celebration of Life at the Cobden Legion #550, 43A Main St., Cobden, Ontario on Thursday July 6th from 4 to 8pm.
