Ronald Leech
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ron Leech who passed away peacefully in his home Thursday Sept 30, 2021. Ron (affectionately known as Ronnie) was born in Cobden Nov 11, 1950 to Sam and Gladys Leech nee ( Drynan). He and his wife Pamela nee (Palmer) were high school sweethearts. Shortly after marriage he became a tool and die maker. He worked in that profession for sixteen years while living with his family in North Carolina. Many dear friends and memories were made there. Upon returning to Cobden in 1993, he joined the AECL family until his retirement in 2015. Ron cherished outdoor activities with his friends as often as possible. He loved golfing, fishing, ATV and skidoo trips as well as his pontoon boat. His preferred vessel for socializing around the lake. He dedicated his life to family and friends. Always putting the needs of his family before himself. He will be greatly missed by his family. Beloved husband of Pamela Leech nee (Palmer). Loving father of Amanda (Rick Jackett), Tegan Leech, Kyle Leech (Shannon St.Michael). Also survived by his precious grandchildren Hayden, Maya, Titus, Kade and siblings Gwen Doran (late Bill), Linda Etmanski (late Frank), Richard (Pat), Keith (Terri). Rhonda (late Nathan Remus). As expressions of sympathy donations to Autism Ontario would be greatly appreciated.
