RONALD JOHN GILCHRIST

Ron Gilchrist of 3061 Beachburg Road Pembroke, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 31 with his family by his side,  at the age of 81 years Ronald Gilchrist beloved husband and best friend of Sherry Gilchrist nee McGonegal for 61 years. Son of the late Jack &Vivian Gilchrist, and son-in-law of the late Merril & Jean McGonegal. Dear father of ( late Brett Gilchrist) (Jane Truelove), Dale (Bryan Miller), Laurie (Bruce Ethier). Also survived by grandchildren Justin (Vicky), Charlene, Ron (Kirah), Julie (Chris), Ryan, Meagan (Eddie), Katsua, Cynthia, Keenai and great-grandchildren Lux, Eliot, McKenna, Alexandra and siblings Jim  (Helen), John (June), Richard (Noreen), Connie (Larry), Pam (Terry), Stephen (Cathy), Kevin (Val), Jane (Kenny), Cindy (Dave), and several nieces, nephews, and his beloved spoiled dog Max.  Predeceased by a siblings Carol, Raymond (Marie) and Susan (David).  A Celebration of Life will be held in the Westmeath + District Recreation Hall on Sunday April 21, 2024 from 1 until 4 pm. As expressions of Sympathy donations to the SPCA of Renfrew County or Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Fraser-Morris and Heubner Funeral Home Cobden.
