It is with sadness, I announce the passing of my mother Ritsy McGuire of Cobden who passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday February 5, 2026 in her 88th . Rita McGuire nee Sheedy beloved wife of the late Brian McGuire, and companion to Gilbert Chapeskie. Loving mother to Lori Rathwell (Bruce) and the late Terry McGuire (Nancy). Cherished grandmother to Ryan Rathwell (Andrea), Megan Moran (Craig), Kaitlyn Thomson (Rob) and Riley McGuire. Much loved great-grandma to Jarred and Nolan Rathwell, Quinn and Norah Moran, Joseph, Macey, Miley Thomson. She will be sadly missed by sister-in-law Gayle McLaughlin (Rick), Linda McGuire (late Wayne).  Predeceased by her parents Greg and Rita Sheedy nee Mulligan, brother Jim Sheedy (late Marie), brothers-in-law Barry McGuire (late Doris). Sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pius V Roman Catholic Church Osceola on Saturday February 14, 2026 at 11am.  As expressions of sympathy donations to the Cobden Food Bank would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to the Fraser-Morris & Heubner Funeral Home Cobden.
