 On Saturday, September 7, 2024, peacefully in hospital, our Husband, Father and Opa was called to his heavenly home at the age of 67.


After a six year battle with cancer, he looked forward to being with Jesus.


Richard will be dearly missed by his loving wife Anita, his children Gerald (Julia), Nicholas (Alyssa), Jennifer (William), A.J. and grandchildren Roy, Luca and Wyatt.  Dear brother of John (Elaine), Janet, Alice (Ken). son-in-law of Jennie, brother-in-law of Cor (Grace), Gordon (Evelyn), James (Maryke) and many nephews and nieces.


Predeceased by his parents Geert and Lina, step-mother Shirley, father-in-law Klaas, brother-in-law Ralph (Kathryn) and nieces Laura and Sheila (Jonathan) and great nephew Trevor


He was a dedicated man to his Church and Family and loved to work outside or in his workshop.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to World Renew or Hebron CRC, Renfrew.


Family and friends may call at the Fraser-Morris & Heubner Funeral Home Cobden on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 4-7 pm.  A Graveside Service will be held at Beachburg Union Cemetery Friday, September 20, 2024 at 10 am followed by a Funeral Service at the Hebron Christian Reformed Church at 11:30 am.
