DALE (STOPPA) MONICA

Former long-term resident of Cobden passed away peacefully in the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice on Tuesday January 1, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 88 years.Born in Barry’s Bay, August 14, 1930. She was predeceased by her son David, her husband Gerald C. Jodoin, her parents Stanislaus (1977) and Mary (Zelney) (2002) and sister Florence (1945) and brother Raymond (2017). Loving Mother to her daughters; Catherine (Yves) Lepine, Suzanne (Kent) Weatherell, Angela (Chris) Feres. Cherished Nana to Christine, Priscilla, Jay, Matthew, Briana and Curtis.  Loving Great Grandma to Thomas, Cassidy, Noah and Jade. A beloved Sister to: Ann (late Sidney) Dearsley, Stanley (Sally) Stoppa, Leona (Edward) Buraczewski, Gerard (Clare) Stoppa, Joan (Jack) Hilder, Robert (Gisele) Stoppa, she will be missed by her many nieces and nephews, friends and extended family. Friends may call at the Fraser-Morris and Heubner Funeral Home Cobden, Tuesday January  8, 2019  from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church Cobden Tuesday at 1 p.m.  We will gather at the Cobden Legion after the mass for refreshments and storytelling of Monica’s adventures. Spring interment in St. Hedwigs Cemetery Barry’s Bay. Thanks to the warm-hearted, knowledgeable, respectful staff of Ruddy- Shenkman Hospice for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations to the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice (via Hospice Care Ottawa) would be greatly appreciated
