MARGARET ANN McMILLAN
(Teacher Renfrew County & District School Board)
With profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of my mom and our grandmother Margaret McMillan at her residence, surrounded by love, on Friday June 26, 2026 at the age of 90 years. Born in her family home, she was the daughter of Gordon Wesley Young & Ida Muriel (nee Graham). Beloved wife of the late Gerald Edward McMillan. Dear mother of David (Cheryl) McMillan. Loving grandmother to Kayla McMillan (Angie), Emma McMillan and Jaden McMillan. Predeceased by her son and daughter-in-law Robert and Sherry McMillan, Sister-in-law Joan Ganley (late Cecil). Dear aunt of Michelle Ganley-Mooder (Dave). Cherished longstanding friendships of the Buttle, Graham and Oattes families. Margaret from a young age knew teaching was to be a lifelong passion, touching countless children’s lives, through kindness & commitment to education. Outside the classroom she cultivated a beautiful life, finding joy in gardening, painting & treasuring time with family & friends. May those who knew and loved her find comfort in remembering a life so well lived and a woman so deeply loved. Friends may call at the Fraser-Morris and Heubner Funeral Home Cobden, Friday July 3rd, 2026 from 2-4 and 7-9pm, and Saturday, July 4th from 9:30 until 10:15am thence to St. Patrick’s Anglican Church Lower Stafford for service at 11:00am. Interment Cobden Union Cemetery Cobden Ontario. As expressions of sympathy donations to the St. Patrick’s Anglican Church would be appreciated.
