Lucile Adelaide (Case) Vigrass Obituary
LUCILE ADELAIDE VIGRASS
It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Lucile Vigrass of Cobden, who passed away peacefully in the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Wednesday June 11, 2025 at the age of 95 years. Lucile Vigrass (nee Case) beloved wife of the late Howard (Rusty) Vigrass. Loving mother of Jeffrey (Brenda) Vigrass and Melanie Vigrass (Doug Brown). Also survived by grandchildren Stephanie Vigrass, Jamie O’Brien and step-grandchildren Samantha Desjardins, Bradley Brown (Natalia) and Tori Gilchrist (Tom). She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and brother-in-law, Wm. (Bill) Fraser. Predeceased by daughter Janice O’Brien and siblings Rosemary Fraser, Gerald Case, Leon Case and Lewis Case. Mom was born in Rockglen, SK and moved east to Ontario in 1937, where after several moves, the Case family settled in Petrolia, ON. She married Rusty (Ontario Hydro) in 1951 and moved to Smith Fall's and Ottawa, before settling in Cobden in 1961. Mom was a great cook and there were always great desserts at home and at the cottage on Loon Bay, Parry Sound. Mom was an avid card player, crafter, knitter and quilter. There was always a new craft to try and we are blessed to have many handmade items in our homes. She and dad enjoyed travelling and spending summers at the cottage when she retired from Scotiabank. Arrangements entrusted to the Fraser-Morris & Heubner Funeral Home Cobden. Family graveside interment to be @ Rusty's family plot (MacKenzie) at Atherley Union Cemetery, Atherley, ON
