Following an arduous journey with dementia, Lola passed away at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Cobden, on Monday, September 27, 2021.  She was in her 85th year.  Predeceased by her parents Forbes and Minnie (Briscoe) Weedmark, husband Norman, her son Grant, daughter Pamela and grandson Troy Leach, Lola is survived by her children Carol (Frank Hortop), Ward (aka Willi), Kelvin (aka Harry) (Celeste O’Meara), and 9 grandchildren: Stephanni (Aaron Curtis), Heather (Jamie McDonald) Laura Byce, Tim Byce, Brianne Leach (Mike Stolarik) Cody Leach (Katie Baxter), Cassidy Leach, Aiden Byce, Owen Byce and 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters Iris (late Lorne Stewart), Royla (late Jack McLaren), and Kayren (Jim Schrock), her brothers Wayne Weedmark (Barbara) Bryan Weedmark (Shelley), and brother-in-law Jim Huckabone (late Beth). Lola will be fondly remembered and missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and those she worked alongside in the many endeavours she took part in over the years.  Predeceased by her sisters Delta (late Boyne Windsor), Shirley (late Wes Moore), and Lorna (late Earl Farnel), Joan (late Tom McKay), and brother-in-law Wayne Byce (late Sylvia Hodgins). The family would like to thank the staff of Caressant Care for the exceptional care Lola received while a resident. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held in Howard Cemetery Foresters Falls, on Friday October 1, 2021 at 2 pm.  Arrangements entrusted to the Fraser – Morris & Heubner Funeral Home Cobden.
