Leonard Joseph Ryan

At Hospice Renfrew on Friday, July 29, 2022. Len Ryan, age 73 years, beloved husband of 48 years of Kathleen. Much loved father of Colan (Tara) and Laurel (Michael) and proud grandfather of Henry (Colan and Tara).  He is also survived by five siblings: Maureen (Adrian), MaryLou (Frank), Tom (Catherine), Elaine (Tom) and Allan (Rosemary) as well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.  A teacher of English, math and science for over 30 years, Len was a lifelong learner who enjoyed multiple interests. He was a gifted woodworker, keen gardener, enthusiastic cook, and dedicated genealogist.

In accordance with Len’s wishes, no ceremony will be held. He will be cremated and laid to rest in the St. Columban Cemetery in Dublin, Ontario amongst his numerous forebears. 

Len had the highest regard for the commitment, care, and dedication of the Hospice Renfrew staff. Donations to Hospice or to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully received in his memory.
