LAWSON  ROONEY                                                                                           

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lawson Rooney of Cobden and formerly of Ottawa, who passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, in Caressant Care Cobden, on Thursday July 24, 2025 at the age of 95 years. Lawson Rooney beloved husband of the (late Diane) Rooney nee Rogers and predeceased by his daughter Ruth Rooney. He is survived by a sister-in-law Nell Rooney, nieces Abbey Rooney, Shannon Peck (Leroy) and nephew Scott Rooney (Tamara).  Predeceased by brothers Earl and Evan (Mick) Rooney and nephew Mitch Rooney. Friends may call at the Fraser – Morris and Heubner Funeral Home Cobden, Sunday July 27, 2015 from 2-5 pm. Service in the Funeral Home Chapel Monday at 11am. Interment Cobden Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Cobden Food would be appreciated.
