It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of John Lynch of Cobden, who passed away peacefully at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Tuesday March 24, 2026 in his 85th year. John Lynch was the beloved husband of Florence Lynch (nee Walsh). Dear father of Tim Lynch (Teresa) and Darcy Lynch (Jennifer). Most loving grandfather of Brendan, Owen, Jack, Kiley and Megan. Also survived by a brother Danny Lynch (Carol). Predeceased by his parents Hilary and Mary Lynch (nee Enright) and a brother Connie Lynch. John was a longtime employee of the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario. He enjoyed his time at the hunt camp, playing hockey, and joining card parties. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends and traveling between Cobden and Douglas, with frequent stops at Mount St. Patrick. Friends may call at the Fraser-Morris & Heubner Funeral Home Cobden, on Friday March 27, 2026 from 2-4 and 7-9pm and on Saturday March 28, 2026 from 9:30am until 10:15am. Thence to St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church Douglas for Mass Of Christian Burial at 11am. Spring interment St. Pius V Roman Catholic Cemetery, Osceola Ontario. As expressions of sympathy donations to Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
