John Robert Brown Obituary

JOHN  ROBERT  BROWN

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Brown of Shawville who passed away at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Thursday August 21, 2025 at the age of 56 years. John Brown beloved husband of Jeannie Brown nee Milford. Dear father of Chance (Bry), Tristan (Amber), Morgan (Brandon Fenton) and Kelsy (Kyle Schwartz). Loving poppa to Tanner, Raina, Ahlyson, Aurora, Grayson, Lewis, Melody, Braxton, Jack and Easton. Also survived by his mother Elizabeth (late Clifford) Brown, brothers Terry, Tom, Michael Brown mother-in-law Jean (late Ebert) Milford and sisters-in-law Tracy Milford, Christal (Neville Sexton), Holly (William Cadieux), brother-in-law Bill (Trisha) Milford, along with many nieces, nephews and friends who loved him dearly.

John didn’t speak often, but when he did, his words mattered. Though he carried a tough exterior, those who knew him understood the size of his heart. He would do anything for his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews—treating each of them with equal love and care.
A true go-getter, John never stopped moving and always had a project on the go. Whether it was carpentry, mechanics, or fixing small engines,

“Johnny B” was the one everyone called. He was a jack of all trades, the family’s fixer, and a friend you could always count on.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends can gather to share memories and honour the man who gave so much of himself to others.

Arrangements entrusted to the Fraser – Morris and Heubner Funeral Home Cobden.
