It is with sadness we announce the passing of Jean Douwes of Cobden, peacefully in the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in her 86th year. Jean Douwes (nee Rozeboom), beloved wife of the late Johannes (John) Douwes. Dear mother of John (Catherine Potts-Halpin), Joanne (Ross Broadfoot) and Sheila (Earle Woods). Survived by grandchildren Jeila (Derek Martinat), Matthew Douwes, great-grandchildren Mason and Eva Martinat, siblings Jack, Grace and Henry (Donna) Rozeboom and dear friend Suzi Watson.   Friends may call at the Fraser – Morris and Heubner Funeral Home Cobden, on Tuesday June 6, 2023 from 1 pm until Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2:30 pm.   Interment Grace Lutheran Cemetery Eganville.
