Janet Brenda Ott Obituary
JANET BRENDA OTT
The family of Janet Brenda Ott announces her peaceful passing from complications due to ALS, on May 31, just 4 days shy of her 53rd birthday. Janet’s transition was supported by the Love of her family and the compassionate and caring staff in the ICU at the Pembroke Regional Hospital.
Janet lived the past 20 years with her beloved partner, John in Osgoode Ontario. Their relationship was filled with laughter and music, and a deep mutual respect for each other. John was her “rock” and simply “the best” according to Janet. After John’s unexpected passing in July 2024, Janet would move to Country Haven in Beachburg ON where she would be surrounded by a supportive village and her Father, Ken. Janet and Ken were able to spend lots of time together, whether at “bingo” or birthday parties or just simply resting and sharing jokes. Janet then moved onto Marianhill where she would receive wonderful care and compassion from the staff.
Janet was a loving and caring person with a huge heart who would never hesitate to help someone in need. She will be greatly missed and has left a huge void in our family.
Janet leaves to mourn her daughter Kristin, grandson Maverick, stepson Adam, father Ken Ott, brother Wayne Ott (Melanie), sisters LeeAnn Reinert (Juergen) and Rosanne Grbich (Mark). She also leaves to mourn her niece Amanda, nephews Owen and Devon and brother in-law James. Along with her aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Janet was predeceased by the love of her life and partner John, and her loving mother Brenda.
A Celebration of Life will take place for Janet later on in the Summer.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fraser-Morris & Heubner Funeral Home in Cobden.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Society of Canada.
