It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Irene Stewart of RR1 Douglas (Barr Line), who passed away in Bonnechere Manor Renfrew, on Friday June 23, 2023 in her 79th year.  Irene Stewart nee Yuke beloved wife of the late Mervin Stewart. Dear mother of  Brent (Paula) Stewart and Scott (Elizabeth) Stewart. Also survived by 5 granddaughters Katie, Hayley, Jaime, Morgan, Lily and sisters-in-law Glenna, Rose, Pat Yuke, Margaret Wickens and brother-in-law Revel Stewart and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings Brian, Frank, Marion, Vivian, Jack, Lorraine and Ellsworth. Friends may call at the Fraser-Morris and Heubner Funeral Home Cobden on Wednesday June 28, 2023 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm., and Thursday from 9:30 until 10:30 am., Thence to the Cobden Agricultural Hall for service at 11am Interment Cobden Union Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy donations to the Dementia Society of Ontario would be appreciated.    A reception will follow the interment, at the Cobden Agricultural Hall.
