David Harold Huckabone  

*December 7, 1941 - April 6, 2025*

It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of David Harold Huckabone on April 6, 2025, at the age of 83. Dave was the loving partner of Dale (Guyea) Manion and the cherished father of Dianne (Joe Friske), Darrell (Josée Lachance), Dennis (Julie), and stepson Shannon Manion (Melanie Clemmer). Beloved grandpa of Jordyn (Steve Bertram), Samantha (Ben Karek), and Joseph; Kelsea (Travis Madore) and Katie (Jon Street); James, Ben, and Rachel; Georgia, Ben, and Holleigh and devoted great-grandpa of Ryan, Maverick, Wylie, Bailey, Oliver, and Matilda.  David was predeceased by his parents Graham and Susan Huckabone, his son Donald, and his grandson Brandon. He is survived by his brothers Mel (Denise), Ken (Lois), and Allan (Paulette), and will be dearly missed by the Guyea family as well as his many nieces and nephews. Dave worked hard throughout his life and found great joy in the simple pleasures of sharing a smile and a laugh with his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, working in the garage, and watching hockey, especially when the Leafs were playing.  The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the medical professionals who looked after Dave throughout his illness. Special thanks to nurses Tania and Sandra for their compassionate care and support during his final days. Friends may call at the Fraser-Morris and Heubner Funeral Home Cobden, on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, April 10,  from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and a service honoring Dave’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at the Cobden Union Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Dave’s memory may be made to Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation.
