It is with profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Barry Shields of Renfrew, and formerly of Cobden, who passed away in the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Wednesday August 2, 2023 in his 84th year. Barry Shields loving husband of Greta Shields nee Robinson for 63years. Dear father of  Pam Dougherty (Rob), Connie, Sherri, Allison Mulvihill (Layton). Special poppa to Corey Dougherty (Tasha), Lindsay Rowan (Darren), Olivia, Hope and great poppa to Mason, Griffin and Blake. Son of the late Bradley and Freda Shields nee Boyd. Brother of Elaine, Elwood, Elvira, Donalda, Armelda, Catherine, Colleen, Boyd and Mervine. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.     Friends may call at the Fraser – Morris and Heubner Funeral Home Cobden, on Tuesday August 8, 2023 from noon until service in the chapel at 2pm. Interment Cobden Union Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated. A very special thanks to the staff at Renfrew Victoria Hospital.
