Anastasia (Anne) Dearsley 

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Caressent Care Nursing       Home Cobden, in her 96th year. Anne was born in Barry’s Bay, Ontario on July 12, 1927, to Stanley Stoppa Sr and Mary Stoppa Nee Zelney.  Anne is predeceased by her husband Sidney Dearsley and her son Dennis Stoppa and sons-in-law Gerald Devlin and Drew Gazey and daughter in law Linda Stoppa.  Anne is also predeceased by her siblings Florence, Monica and Raymond. Precious mother of Ray Stoppa (Dorothy), Gretchen Devlin (Rob), David Dearsley (Lynn), and Patricia Gazey.  Anne is sister to Stanley Stoppa (Sally), Leona Buraczewski (Edward), Gerard Stoppa (Clare), Joan Hilder (Jack) and Robert Stoppa (Giselle). Dear grandmother to 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fraser-Morris & Heubner Funeral Home Cobden,  Monday May 1, 2023 from 7 – 9 pm and Tuesday May 2, 2023 from 9 am until 10:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church Cobden at 11am.  Interment St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Barry’s Bay Ontario.  In Lieu of flowers please make donations to Caressent Care Retirement home – Resident Activities would be greatly appreciated.
