CUNNINGHAM  M.  JOSEPH ( Joe)                                                                                               

Passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Saturday August 22, 2015 at the age of 72 years.  Joe Cunningham of Lapasse, and formerly of Richmond Ontario beloved husband of Teresa Cunningham nee Howard for 49 years.  Dear father of Shaun.  Also survived by his brother Dick (Mary) Cunningham and sisters Mary Kavanagh, Carmel Cunningham, Eva (late Barry Yantha), Laura (Don Broome), Irene Yantha and Adele Coulas (Ron Leblanc). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by infant son Stephen, his parents Basil and Monica Cunningham nee O’Neill. Cancer had taken its toll on his body during the last seven months, but never diminished his positive attitude or his desire to help others. Having worked as a mechanic for many years Joe was happiest puttering around with motors and machines, often creating some new pieces of equipment. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Friends are invited to share their memories of Joe at the Fraser – Morris and Heubner Funeral Home 5 Crawford St. Cobden,  on Wednesday  August 26,  2015 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. and Thursday from 9 until 10am.  Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church Lapasse, Thursday at 11am.  Interment St. Phillips Roman Catholic Cemetery Richmond Ontario at a later date. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
